Project Description

WARREN DRIVE

Warren Drive was originally built in 1912 as a YWCA girls camp house. The home was in terrible condition when Broadway Design came on board. The kitchen had very low ceilings and a vintage wood stove as the only cooking source. The entire floor plan was dysfunctional as it was set up for a girl’s camp with many cut up rooms and not enough bathrooms. Broadway re designed the entire home moving the master bedroom into the garage, and adding a new garage addition for cars. Many walls were removed and a bathroom was added.

The Designer added a 2 sided fireplace in the living room creating an outdoor sitting area that is covered by an upstairs balcony off of the guest bath.

Broadway selected striped wool carpet for the stairs, in respect for the home’s vintage character and saved the old stairwell railing, and numerous real “barn” doors with iron hardware.

The sunroom was falling apart and full of many hornets’ nests. Broadway salvaged bricks from the side yard, and installed them as new flooring into the rebuilt sunroom.

Broadway created a new courtyard in front of the home surrounded by an iron fence to create balance between the new garage addition, and the home’s entrance. Thanks to Broadway Design the home has maintained it’s original charm, and will be a presence in the community for years to come.
